Which is not to slight any of the places I've already visited. - amberfiretj02ExplorerWe have yet to explore out West (that's next summer, to start) but we love Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia. Great campground, hiking and views.
- FloridaReLoadedExplorerOurs is T. H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park located in the Florida panhandle. Scallop season starts July 25 :} One of the best beaches in Florida.
- The_Painting_TeExplorerReunion Lake in Robert, Louisiana, and it's not one that decided to add "resort" to its name. This one truly is a resort.

- prolandsurveyorExplorerLooks good.
- tragusa3ExplorerIt was in the Dupont Forest near Brevard. They had beautiful lakefront sites on a small mountain lake. Quiet, secluded.
Our kids grew up swimming on this lake. The owners passed, and there were 9 siblings that couldn't agree, so it was sold to a developer that shut it down as a campground. It was a treasure. Not the most amazing scenery, but the most amazing times. :) - prolandsurveyorExplorerwhere was Cascade Lake park in North Carolina? Im from central NC
- tragusa3ExplorerI'm not going to pick a favorite, but will mention the ones that stand out.
-Hunting Island SP, SC
-Cascade Lake, NC (now closed down)
-The Watchman, Zion
-Devil's Garden, Arches
