- Johno02ExplorerTake your shoes off and walk out into the water about knee deep at low tide. Lots more good shells there with less damage.
- kerrlakeRooExplorerHorseshoe crab is common, but traditional shells are rather few because the area is so heavily used that most near complete shells of sizes larger than a quarter are picked up by others daily. Lots of small ones and broken pieces here. If you specifically want to walk a beach and find shells, try crossing the CBBT. Eastern shore beaches are much less trafficked. Especially walk any of the beaches the morning after a storm to increase your odds of good finds.
