FL Keys w kids and boat

Looking at possibly heading to the Keys this summer. Would love input on cg's that are kid friendly and can accommodate a boat. Have checked RVPARK reviews. Jolly Roger and BPK Fishing Lodge look like good possibilities. However would love input from the forum folks. Thanks!

I hope you don't mind me asking, why do you prefer Key Largo?

Go to both parks and compare for yourself

Key Largo:
1. Two nice sandy beaches raked every single day
2. Access to the Atlantic for power boats and if you kayak access to John Pennekamp SP canoe trails as well as lots of small mangrove Islands for exploring
3. A beautiful pool with lap swimming time set aside every morning
4 Gaited entrance
5 nice club house
6 double boat ramp with protected boat basin
7 Nicer playground for the kids
8 Nicer adult shuffle board courts for the old kids, (us)
9 laundry
10 the park is constantly cleaned and well maintained
11 Lots more small pluses

Google it on line and compare for yourself

There is channel all the way out, unless you have the Queen Mary
The channel is clearly marked with red and green markers.
We just came from there.
Off to the right of the channel as you are heading out there is a shallow area and off limits to motorized craft

That open area you go through, after leaving Key Largo campground, before you get to the mangroves which lead out to the main channel, is shallow. Very much so, at or near low tide.

Key Largo campground has some really shallow areas you have to go through, before getting to deeper water.

BPK Fishing Lodge is a great place--- excellent boat ramp with fuel, well stocked store, nice pool. If you get a canal side spot, you have your boat right at your RV. It was our favorite place until we started traveling with dogs and now we can't go there as no dogs are allowed due to the key deer that walk thru the park. Fishing is very good, easy run out to the reef and beyond, or on the inside, lots of flats on the bayside.
Knights Key also has a good ramp and marina. Further down is Geiger Key Marina/RV park. About 11 miles from KW.

Check out Key Largo Kampground
They have their own canal and each place on the canal has a tiki dock.
They also have pull through sites and there is a boat ramp
They are on the Atlantic side and have two beaches, a beautiful pool, playground and other amenities

We have stayed there several times and love it
