Florida/Central Campground Recommendation

Hey all...as we freeze in the KY at -10 ...thinking of Christmas 2015 in Florida. We are not going to stay at WDW but want a great campground in the area...wanting to visit Kennedy Space Center, Sea World, and Blue Spring State Park. Spending about a week. So we welcome suggestion. Have stayed at Jetty Park and Tropical Palms...looking for something like those, nice, and warm for Christmas 2015 :-)
  • We like Christmas RV Park in Christmas FL near Titusville on Hwy 50.
Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka is nice.
  • How about Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort in Clermont? Lots of room and one can see an occasional alligator in the small lakes adjacent to the golf course.
  • Haven't stayed there yet, but Moss Park, an Orange County Park just SE of Orlando near the airport, looked pretty good when I was searching for an overnight spot in that area.
  • Drove through several campgrounds in Clermont last week scouting for next year. Did not care for the Golf & RV CG. The Lake Magic RV Resort looked "OK".
I would be content with Lake Magic for a 2 or 3 week stay and location is convenient to all those places you named.

Good luck and let us know your final decision.
  • We live in Orlando (NO! the backyard is occupied.) so have not stayed there, but friends were happy with Stage Stop CG in Winter Garden, in Orange County, just West of the city. Beltway access to the theme parks and 4-lane to downtown.
