Florida Heart Centers

The DW has a heart condition, which isn't uncommon amongst us seniors. Luckily our local hospital has a very good Heart Center. I've been wondering what cities in Florida have major Heart Centers. The size of a metro area doesn't necessarily equate to the quality of medical services available.
  • If you are an RV'er with a health problem, Florida is the place to be! :B

There are doctors offices, specialty clinics on just about every corner and incredible hospitals all over Florida.

Check out The Villages, Lady Lake, FL for the most 'concentrated' area for specialty doctors offices which can refer you to just about any hospital your insurance provides for.
  • Jacksonville has major cardiac care available from multiple sources including Mayo Clinic and several hospitals with an excellent reputation.
  • It's advisable to check with your medical insurance. You should be able to locate services via modality on their website and check their provider ratings. If internet is not available, call them. They will help you locate something where your insurance is accepted.
  • The hospital in Inverness is rated among the tops in the US, plus it is midway between the Cleveland clinic in Orlando and the Mayo clinic in Jacksonville. Very nice CG, Rock Crusher Canyon, in Crystal River just 11 miles from the hospital.
  • I think family member sees doctors at a Cleveland Clinic facility in the Orlando area.
