Hello Folks,

We will be passing by the Four Corners Monument and would like to stop and visit. We will be driving a 45' motor home and towing our car. My question is Can we pull in and park at the Four Corners Monument? I have not been able to reach them by phone to ask this question.

If any of you have been there and know the answer please let us know.

Thank you so much in advance!

Was at Four Corners last October. Will be at Wall Drug in about 3 weeks.

The beauty of our RV lifestyle is that I can do what I want.

Some of it will look likely bore many/ most of you to tears as a waste of time. Some of your favorite things I would consider torture.

We can each enjoy what we want.

It's the same reason for stopping at Wall Drug. Just to go there. Obviously, neither is a scene of natural beauty, and neither is a place of cultural knowledge, yet each is somewhere to say you've been.

Why waste your time with tourist trap?

Yep, even been to Wall Drug twice!

Do you have Google Earth on your computer? If so, before you leave home, it's always good to use Google Earth and find any place you have questions about parking, and take a look from space.

I've done this numerous times in order to determine whether there was parking available for my truck and travel travel trailer.

But to answer your question, yes there is plenty of room to park your motor home while visiting 4 Corners.

I just looked. Lots of open space. And the satellite image available now shows 3 RV's there. One is a small Class B type, a larger Class A, and a pickup and travel trailer.

It's amazing. The OP asked if there was adequate parking for his rig, that's all he asked!

He got his answer, and then the usual unasked-for-opinions,
such as ...

Why go there?
Tourist trap.
Too far out of the way.
Too commercialized.
Etc.
Etc.

There wasn't even anyone selling fry bread there the last time we visited . . . and we have lived in Colorado most of our lives. I wouldn't even pay a small fee to go there!

It's a bucket list thing! See the monument (take pic if you want), eat some fry bread, buy the wife a trinket. Now you've been there!

Now that's a positive outlook. Very good.

Yep, while it is certainly not a "destination" stop, if you are in the area, it's worth seeing once. It was nicer many years ago when there wasn't such a flea market atmosphere in the monument area. As I recall there wasn't even a "per person" charge (shake down).

Plenty of parking. We were 1 of probably 6-8 big rigs (we're a 22' truck pulling a 42' fifth wheel & 60' bumper to bumper).

As said above- it's touristy but unique. I wouldn't make a special drive to it, but re-routing a drive going past it was worth it. Didn't add much time and we got to check an item off of a bucket list.

The trinkets ranged between cheap **** and works of handmade art. Talking to the vendors was the real prize, though.

Took 4 grandkids there 2 weeks ago and they enjoyed it. It's one of those things you'll do only once.
