may be heading to fla. mid febuary for about a month.Would like to find a reasonable priced campground in ft myers, punta gorda area.Doen,t need any thing fancy . any ideas with vacancies. I have a 32 foot class a,trailer and a car.Don,t mind being a little ways inland.
  • We stayed at Riverside RV outside Punta Gorda last year and are returning next month. One of the nicest rv places we have stayed at.
Staff is awesome and facilities are nice.TONS of Michigan people there too.

This is on the North side of the Peace River. Address is Arcadia, but it is only 2 miles North of the county line. 4 miles East of I 75 at Exit 170. They do have sites available since they just added 149 new sites. Ask for the historical area for sites that do not have as large a space, but are less cost.

    Happy Trails.

Is nice, inexpensive, with all you need.
  • Several recent discussions on this topic/area of SW Florida. Go to my Profile and then click on "View Posts" to see a few, especially my list of parks, locations, and phone numbers. We stayed at Fort Myers RV Park (not a resort) while we explored the area and found Imperial Bonita Estates. It makes a big difference when you don't have to drive for miles to the nearest grocery store, or the beach or a myriad of other attractions.
