General Butler State Park, Ky

Question

We are looking for a place to stop on our way to Missouri.We prefer state or fedaeral campgrounds.We will be taking I 70 to I 71 to I 64. General Butler looks to be about half way. Is it a decent park for an over nighter? How far off I 71 is it?And,do you think we'll have trouble booking a site the Saturday before Memorial Day Weekend? Thanks.

General Butler is just several miles off the interstate and is a good place for a transit stop.  We stopped there several years ago in our 30' toy hauler for an overnight.  I would give the park a call to determine if you need to make a reservation.
