Good Park near Carmel, CA

We have a 38 ft fiver and are looking for a park near Carmel. We have stayed at Carmel by the River which was a nice park, but DH remembers that it was a bit tight and that there was a really tight turn into the park with the 36 ft DRV that we had. Since we have a larger heavier 5 er nows, we would like to find another place to stay. I looked at the Monterrey County Fairgrounds Park and read several reviews. They were all over the lot as to the quality of this park. Does anyone have any personal experience with this park or any other that might be suitable. We plan to attend the ATT Golf Tournament, last time we went we parked at a Marine Corps base, I think, and boarded busses for the ride to Pebble Beach. Does anyone know how close the fairgrounds are to the base? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Surprised your search didnโ€™t turn up this site. Try a different search engine. The Presidio of Monterey has a Marine detachment...to keep the sailors in line...I hear. Need to meet the military requirements to stay. Let me know if you have trouble finding those.

I found this site, but saw no links to RV Parks. Saw lots of lodging options, but no parks. Am sure I did something wrong. Am very interested.

We volunteered as park hosts in Monterey County last winter. The fairgrounds is fine and closer to Pebble Beach than Marina Dunes but Marina Dunes might be easier to get into for your size rig.

We have stayed at Marina Dunes, it was a long time ago, but as I recall (and that could be suspect), the sites were fairly close together. I will look at it again. Thank you for the suggestions.

As rollexx posted, Marina Dunes is a good option...we have stayed there....but, it is $85.00+ per night.
