I'm not sure the Goosenecks area is worth more than a couple of nights, but it sure is a great place if you want to feel like an insignificant dot in a huge landscape (and who doesn't enjoy that feeling??). That's my trailer on the edge of the cliff on a cold and windy afternoon in late October of 2010 -- we were camped way out on the peninsula, maybe half a mile from the campground -- that is Monument Valley in the far distance. Park campground was free for the month of December, a lucky find.
