Have you tried Holland? Holland has 2, or 3 campgrounds depending on how you look at it. One is similar to Grand Haven and is right on the beach. There is a campground about 1/2 - 3/4 of a mile east of the beach. This campground has two sections.
Are you trying to book just a weekend? A week starting on Friday? You might try a Sunday arrival.
There is also Oak Grove that is further east of the State Park, but closer to the lake than Dutch Treat.
I was trying to book a week. We've been to Holland for a day trip, but did not realize they have a beach campground. Is that the state park?
