Gulf Front

I am having a very hard time finding a Florida or Alabama Gulf front RV Park that fits all the following criteria:

Big rig friendly
WiFi at campsite
Accepts American Express (seems to be a big stumbling block)
50 amp service
Sewer
Water

We don't have to be gulf front per se, but near enough to be able to enjoy the beaches each day. Also, I'd like to be able to enjoy a view out the back window of our rig.

This is proving to be nearly impossible! Any recommendations?

I'm not sure if the 2 places accept American Express, but my wife and I absolutely love going here on our vacations.. http://strosarvresortnavarre.com/ and http://www.emeraldbeachrvpark.com/ both are located in Navarre Beach Florida which is located conveniently around 20 to 30 min. in both directions between Destin and Pensacola Beach.. It's a nice small beachie town.. The parks are located on the St Rosa Sound,in which you are sill on the water, but you are facing the Gulf and if you want to go to the actual beach it is just a short (+ or -) 5 min drive over the bridge and you are there.. You will not be disappointed..

I got my AMEX card in the late 70's because it had to be paid off every month. I came from a family that did not believe in buying on the "never-never" and my father didn't had a credit card of any kind. The AMEX was fine until recent years then I was forced to get something else in case AMEX was not accepted. Credit cards can do a good job of helping to manage your finances if used right, especially for traveling. lizzie

I'm guessing the issue most of the time is the AMEX. AMEX charges huge fees to companies for the "privilege" of taking it. One solution is to use a different credit card. Yes, Amex is the issue most of the time. I'm thinking of opening a MC or Visa just for RV trips now to resolve this issue.

I think you're on the right track. Just get a Visa or Master Card and use that when you travel. Since you have AMX you should have no trouble getting Visa or Master Card. That AMX is just making your RViing life more complicated.

In the '80s and '90s I had every credit card you could imagine, except Diners Club. As I got older I realized how much I was losing in paying interest to all those cards. One by one I paid them all off, except Amex. It's the only card that requires full payment each month. I figured I didn't need any other card and up till now I haven't.

I learned a long time ago that Amex is not compatable for my motorhome travels.

Outdoor resorts looks great, but too far away for us. We were thinking more panhandle area. Maybe for a future trip. Coastline RV looks great too, but they don't take Amex.
