Gulf Shores VS Rustic Sands Mexico Beach
Hello, We are planning another trip in mid September this year and are considering Gulf Shores State Park or Rustic Sands. Any recommendations for either park?

- Our Gulf State Park is hard to beat.
- We have been to both parks and they each have their own character. I think if I had to choose, it would be Gulf Shores. The sites are a little nicer than Mexico Beach - bigger, not so close together, paved etc. The beach at both parks is very nice At M.B. it is about a 10 minute walk, at Gulf Shores a bit longer or a quick drive. Gulf shores has tennis and lots of bicycle/walking trails. Also more restaurants and much closer to shopping than M.B.
- I am not familiar with Rustic Park, but Gulf Shores is a great campground! Their web site is down right now but its close to the beach and has a great pool and splash pad for kids. almost 500 FHU sites.
