I'll be sure and leave a review. We are going to listen to the "2 hour sales pitch" Monday or Tuesday. We are staying 8 days and 7 nights. This is our maiden voyage in our new hybrid , a Roo 21SS. It will be interesting to see how the new tow vehicle , a 2004 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1L, does towing up in the hills.

We just got back from a 5day/4night stay their as well last weekend. We also took part in their 2 hour sales pitch (we did not buy in). Bass Pro Shop gave us $100 in gift cards to listen to their sales pitch. The stay also only cost $99 so we couldn’t really pass it up.
Like you we stayed on a site with a concrete pad, stainless steel grill (gas included) and fire ring. The site (401) was not level which I was surprised but it really is not a big deal to me. We needed to raise one side maybe two inches. But it helped drain away all the rain we got.
Cell service was not great for us. I have a iPhone with AT&T and the best I got was one bar of service (can’t do much with that). My wife’s phone/Android w/Virgin Mobile (T-Mobile network I think) was much better.

Positives:
Great sites. Very clean and well maintained grounds.
Bath houses were clean and had AC so they didn’t get hot and smelly
Pool area/Mini-Golf/Garden and other areas were nice and clean
Horses and animals for the kids to visit and pet

Negatives:
No WiFi. They advertise that they have WiFi. But no where in the park is the signal strong enough to connect to or use. And I circled the entire park. The only place I was able to connect for a while was in the parking lot of their presentation center. I have a job where I need to be ‘connected’ all the time so this was unacceptable.

You need to call ahead and sign-up for activities. This is a big deal if you have no cell service and/or like to be spontaneous.

I don’t think customer service is their strong point. When trying to sign-up for a farm tour for my 5 year old we went to the activity center. They said we needed to signup at the Equestrian center but they were closed (on a Friday). So the next morning we called the Equestrian center. We were told to call the Activity Center. Guess what, we called the Activity Center and were told to call the Equestrian Center. My wife was literally standing in the middle of the road between the two centers trying to get a hold of someone that knew what the hell they were talking about. This took about 15-20 minutes. When we finally got the right answer (call the Equestrian Center) they said they just booked the last two spots. We basically flipped out as we were given the run around for 15 minutes and now have an upset 5 year old. After unleashing my wife on them they opened an extra spot for my daughter.

No escort to the site – We first missed our site and needed to drive around for a while trying to approach the site from the best angle. Also, a few days into the trip a car stopped us while we were walking down the road and asked us for directions because they were lost as well. It’s obvious that the park is big enough to warrant an escort to the site/cabin/Yurt..

The park is big and they don’t rent golf carts to be prepared to walk or drive your truck/car.

I probably won’t be back either unless we go with our friends who are members/owners and can get sites for as little as $15. Maybe then we’ll spring for the sites with a Jacuzzi.

Well what a long week. We stayed in one of the sights with a concrete pad, stainless steel grill and fire ring. The sight was dead on level! There are no trees to speak of so the AC unit was working OT in the 90* plus heat. The sites down near the lake are not as level and they are kind of primitive with no sewer hookup etc. Speaking of sewer. The smell in the RV was terrible. Part of it was the rubber seal in the toilet didn't hold water which let the smell come up. I fixed that by lining the bottom with toilet paper and putting some treatment in the tank. I thought it was just us but after talking to others they all complained of the smell coming back into the RV. We had problems with the 30 amp service. Running the AC and putting the microwave on would trip the breaker. We thought it might be a fluke thing but again a lot of people were out there at all times of the day flipping breakers outside too.

Cell service. I had 4g LTE Verizon service 90% of the time and 3G the other 10%. NO issues with cell service at all.

The positives of the RV "Resort".
1. A lot of the things are included in the price of staying there. Mini-golf, table tennis, pool use, fitness room, corn hole games , paddle boats etc. The horse rides are $30 a person and my kids enjoyed it. I don't get on horses. Scares me to death.

2. The bath houses are VERY clean!!!!!

3. The employees are very nice and are always out and about cleaning something or putting down mulch etc.

4. Very close to wineries if that is your thing. It is my wifes thing not mine LOL.

The negatives...

1. Once you have sat by the pool, played mini golf, tennis and worked out there is nothing to do. Some like this but having a 13 and 11 year old this was torture. I was bored after the first day.

2. You have to go to C-Ville to get to out of the boonies. I live in the boonies and don't really want to vacation in the boonies unless there is a good trout stream.

3. The various little issues with the breaker, sewer smell etc. Not a big deal but it got to be a PITA after a few days.

4. The "bluegreen" sales lecture. They weren't overly aggressive but they do want you to buy points at a price starting at $38,000 😉

All in all I won't go back. I live on a lake and could have done the same things at home and saved a chunk of cash.

Will look forward to your rewiew upon your return, as the comments have been mixed. Am particularily interested in knowing which sites are level as the reviews say many are not, and if Verizon cell service works there. Hope you have a wonderful trip.

One of my favorite campgrounds period.
Lots of amenities. Great sites. Have good time.

It's nice, but it's cheaper to stay there C2C than to buy a time share. Hold onto your wallet. 🙂
