Hey. Is there space left in the desert?

Heading out for my first-ever Quartzsite experience. I realize it's too late for the rally, but from what I've read, that may be a good thing. Plan is to escape the cold, leaving western Missouri on Wednesday 1/29. Meander west on US 54 thru OK panhandle on way to Tucumcari (Which, I am convinced, was the inspiration for the Cars movies). I have folks to visit in Albuquerque, Globe and Phoenix. Idea at this point then is to wander towards Quartzsite and hang out there for a while.
  • as you go thru globe you could stop at roosevelt lake ,nice are and a great rv camp across from the post office.

plenty of room- we'll be leaving next week :)
Make sure you eat at Silly Al's while you are here! As his sign says, if you haven't eaten at Al's you haven't been to Quartzsite! Yummy!
  • You won't have any problems at all finding a place to park....desert, BLM, or private rv parks.

    BTW... it's spelled "Quartzsite".

    Have fun.

  • The big show of the season is over (RV show) so by the time you get here in February there will be plenty of spaces.
  • Q is thinning out fast. By the time you get here you should find no problem finding a spot on the BLM. Short term or Long term. Also looks like a lot of openings in the RV parks in town.
