Ho Hum park Carrabelle FL

Anyone stayed at Ho Hum lately and have any suggestions for us? Specifically I was wondering how the satellite reception was, and how far is it to grocery stores.
Thanks! :)
  • No problems with satellite at HO HUM! Carabelle is just up the road (5-10 minutes) and has grocery stores, restaurants, most anything you might need. We like HO HUM and stay there at least twice a year. Good fishing off the pier most of the time. Not much in the way of "something to do", thus the name HO HUM. Not really recommended for children. Here we are at HO HUM a few times back.

  • Thanks! Sounds great, just what we are looking for. A place to relax and for my husband to fish.
  • A great place to relax. Close enough to all you need to rest and relax. We paked on the waterfront, satellite was no problem. If I can remember the East part is basically tree free and the West has more tree. Great people.
  • I guess it depends on what you like to do. We spent the winter a few miles up the road in Sopchoppy and stayed busy all the time. It is true that you have missed the Worm Grunting Festival and Ball, but there is still fun to be had. Check out the Wakulla County Visitor' Center at Panacea and see if you can get a copy of the Big Bend Scenic Drives book. One of our favorite places near Carrabelle is the Dwarf Cypress boardwalk in Tate's Hell State Forest. lizzie
  • We spent a week there in late spring and it was really HO HUM. There is not much to do.
