- sunny_jeepExplorerwhat are you doing in ark. you are suppose to be in sd?
- smokedummyExplorerI stayed at Pioneer in Port Aransas last week. We had winds from all points during the week and gusts up to 40 one day (and temps in the low 50s boo!). Everyone was prudent with their awnings and I saw no damage.
Last year I tied my folding chairs to the bumper of the TT while dry-camping on Lavaca Bay, afraid the wind would carry them off while unattended. - docjExplorerWe've wintered in Port Aransas the past two winters. The winds vary from light to moderate and occasionally strong (>40 mph). Only once this winter did I take our rooftop satellite dish down for safety. Some days the winds are too strong for sitting outside; some days are pleasant. It's winter, so 100% nice weather can't be forecast for anywhere.
- Matt_ColieExplorer IIWhen we were in the area in the spring of 2007, wind was never a big issue. It was good sailing weather, but not that it was like a sandstorm ever. The Gulf moderates things a lot.
