It is 15 out side & will get down to 8 tonight. Can't go to quartzite this winter as wife broke her leg & can't put any weight on it till middle of Jan. She can't climb up into the 5er or should I say she can't hop up the stairs. So it will be a cold winter yes we have a couple inches of snow & I don't like snow.

We were suppose to head south on 11/1, but my honey has some medical issues that will keep us here for awhile. It was 11* last night and we got up to 25* today!! We are full-timers and it's cold......I hate winter......and snow and ice ๐Ÿ˜ž

24/7/365..........rotating shifts, holidays and lots of days off

As long as the transmission/distribution lines stay connected.........them lights will be on

Temps got down to 22*F last night....same prediction for tonight

Irrigation valve froze/busted last night so I have been digging mud, trenching and replacing 3" valve/line today.

Installed a stub pipe with hose bib which will trickle all night.
You are colder there then we are in Ontario but we can raise you a foot of snow.

No snow........but I have a large mud field :B

I left WY in 1972........and have run from snow ever since.
Messed up 3 times and got caught in snow. Just reinforced why I left WY
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I only pray and hope the guys who furnish us with the electrics keep it flowing for us. many elderly will die in this cold.

I guess we're lucky it doesn't get that cold here but the dreariness of grey skies, clouds and rain for 6~7 months really wears on me.

This past weekend we just did our "weekend out to winterize" RoadAbode. I'd say it was the coldest weekend we ever stay in her. Except for maybe once in March where the weatherman was calling "early spring" so we chanced it and went out to Otter Lake in the PA Poconos - and got snow. Still was fun watching my girls laughing as we ran to the indoor pool through the snow falling for a swim. Kinda cool watching snow falling outside as you swim around.

Hey reddwar, praying your wife heals quickly and you can escape the snow and cold sooner than later. Think warm thoughts, and enjoy the time ~ whatever you do.

Nine degrees at my house in northern Nevada. I can't talk my wife into going south though. She wants to stay at home.

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she heals quickly.

You guys need to come to Bakersfield. We have yet to have a day under 65 deg and no nights under 40 and this isn't the vacation spot of the country. We had such a long hot summer that it feels good to get the cool weather.

My friend who broke her ankle and couldn't put weight on it would take the 5er steps one at a time on her rear. It wasn't the easiest, but she did it.
