Key Largo area

Any suggestions for a campground in the Key Largo area? We will be in a 38' class A and bringing our boat so we would like to be either on the water or close to where we can launch the boat. And we are totally spoiled so we like full hook ups ๐Ÿ™‚ This will be late Dec/early Jan so I know we need to make reservations really soon.
Thank you in advance for any advice!

Thanks everyone. We tried Key Largo Kampground first and they were all booked up. Then we called Point of View, also booked up. We were able to get a reservation at Jolly Roger. Anything we need to know or anything special about this area? We love Florida and go several times a year but this will be our first time to the Keys.
Thanks!

We are actually taking the jeep because that is what we use to put the boat in the water and take it out with. And we will use it to drive around wherever we want to go for the couple of weeks that we are there including to Miami for the Orange Bowl and sightseeing. The reason we didn't want to be too far from Miami is that on the night of the Orange Bowl it will be 2 or 3 in the morning when we finally get back to the campground, so an hour or so away is far enough.

IMHO there is not any reason to drive the jeep to Key West other than to say you've been there. It is worth going just past Marathon as that will get you the seven mile bridge and turn around at Big Pine Key. As a Fla native I've been to Key West two times... once by cruise ship and once flying.
Even though you have your own boat it will be worth hiring a guide to take you fishing and once you know the tricks to catching fish in the mangroves you can then do it on your own.

Thanks everyone. I think Jolly Roger is a little farther than we planned to go. Ivylog, believe it or not, I will be driving our Jeep down and my husband will tow the boat with our RV. We think it will take us 2 days to get there but he has always wanted to go to the Keys so even though it is winter we will be going there ๐Ÿ˜•

Jolly Roger Travel Park in Marathon. Waterfront sites have their own boat slip.

Key Largo Campground - It is a great place, gated, pool, on a canal with a nice boat ramp. The canal leads to South Sound which leads to the Atlantic.
We have stayed there in the past and highly recommend it

Will not have to worry about getting Sat TV at Point of View (99010 Overseas Hwy Key Largo, FL 33037) and it's new and big enough you can probably get reservations. Last year on short notice we were able to get reservations at Riptide Carefree Resort CG and while it's tight we were able to get our 42' in so put 97680 Overseas Hwy Key Largo, FL 33037 in Google maps to take a look. Not even close to being a resort it's nice enough with lot of friendly long term snowbirds.
I'm assuming you will rent a car for the Obowl?

I forgot to mention we will be going to the Orange Bowl in Miami one day so we would like to be around an hour away give or take a little.
I looked at Kings Kamp in Key Largo but there are really mixed reviews and from the looks of it they aren't exactly "big rig friendly"

Not exactly in Largo, but we stayed at the Jolly Roger RV park in Marathon. a bit to the south. It has a marina and the premium sites are on the water. They have their own little harbor with a nice swimming area. Excellent park but expect it to be pricey.
