Kisatchie national forest

Just spent three days at the LORAN Campground in the forest. It used to be an old army base (Camp Claiborne). Lots of trails (multi-use) DRY camping but does have a dump station without water. 40 or more sites all pretty level. The nicest pit toilet I have ever been in (I am not a connoisseur).
Three days and we were the only ones there. Picnic table and fire ring at each site.
What a gem

last mile or so is a Dirt road with some pot holes. Nothing horrid. Been down much worse. It is worth the ride

How was the access to the Loran campground? I live about 50 miles from there and have considered trying it and a few of the other boondocking sites like Fullerton campground which is at the site of an old sawmill town that thrived in the early 20th century.

and on and on.
We like the Cajun cause we can do a traditional 2 step and or Waltz and not look out of place

Wow!! That sounds fantastic. The good thing about the dancing is that it burns off all those calories. We discovered that Cajun dancing is very different from Zydeco, but both can be learned, even by someone who is not a very good dancer, i.e., me.
