Lake Hope State Park Campground Ohio

We are planning a weekend camping visit here soon.

Question: Does this CG have facilities so that I can I fill my fresh water tank at the park or should I fill up before I arrive?

Some of the Ohio State Parks state that they have water on their CG maps or website but this is one that does not. Wondering if anybody has camped here and knows for sure.
  • Thanks pjs.

I last camped there in a tent waaaayyy back in the 80s someplace around site 50-55 if my memory serves and if the camp is still laid out about the same as it was then. Had a great time there exploring and hiking. Back in those days the Air National Guard or AF (?) conducted some kind of jet fighter training in the area. One day their jets came screaming over at treetop level several times... It was amazing even though with all the tress you could only see them overhead for a split second. I remember that, hiking down to the Hope Furnace, and the skunks that invaded our camp every night... Ended up stuck on the hood of a f150 to stay away from them once LOL...

I remember all that but not how we got water! Ahh to be a kid again when stuff just showed up haha...

    Thanks again.
  • We camped there for 5 years for parents weekend while my son was at OU in Athens I also camped by myself while my wife was in Athens for Mothers weekend yes there is water available also if you don't have a reservation yet try to get site 78 in my opinion it's the best site in the park at the end of a loop with no site next to you on the awning side
