Lakewood Ranch Fla

I have not been at the park when there was just the open-wheel racing was going on. The oval track is quiet a ways farther back from the HWY so the noise factor might not be as bad. I would suggest maybe calling the rangers and get their opinion.
It is a shame about the noise because it is a nice park, nothing fancy but good sites, power and restrooms.

Looks like from their schedule they have Open Wheel Modify racing on the 20th.
You might want to look at Sun n Fun...great park on Fruitville road.

I live about 10 miles from Lake Manatee State park, been there many times its a nice quiet park, EXCEPT when you are there on a race weekend. The Desoto Racetrack is right aross HWY 64 with the dragstrip close to the highway. I have been at the park when they are practising on Thursdays and Fridays and you literally needed earmuffs if you wanted to stay outside the MH. Racedays are even worse and the races go on into the night.

Just fair warning.

Or Manatee River State park. Both are great State parks.
