Large Back Window

So for years my wife wanted the back wall of a camper to be all windows so that she can look out at the beauty. We purchased a new to us Cedar Creek last summer with a window in the back (happy wife = happy life).

So, throw those suggestions up on this thread. Where should I camp for the view that beats all other views. Pictures would be wonderful as well!

Speaking of COE CG's, closer to home you have Thomson Causeway Recreation area right on the Mississippi, there are a number of sites that back up to the river. Not quite the mountains or the ocean but scenic nonetheless (and a lot quicker to get to!).

Some Corps of Engineers parks and state parks have sites that back up to a body of water for a beautiful view out the back window. A few that come to mind are Seven Points COE near Nashville, R. Schaffer Heard on West Point Lake in Georgia, Winfield COE and Petersburg COE in Appling, Georgia, Maumelle COE in Little Rock, Cranes Mill COE on Canyon Lake, Texas.

A few private parks have great views out the back window. Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis, Arkansas has sites for fifth wheels that are designed so you have a view of the Mississippi River out your back window. We were in a back in site with a view of the bay at Baycrest RV Park in Homer, Alaska.

When making reservations in federal campgrounds including COE, you can look at a map a choose a site on the water. Some state parks also have that option.

Some of the most spectacular campground views I've seen were in Alaska.

Galbraith Camp (on the Dalton Highway); cleaning the windows is advisable to see the scenery!

In Depoe Bay, Oregon, Winchester Bay RV Resort has sites with a back-window view of the Pacific, and there are whales at the location year-round. We turned the TV off, turned the recliner chairs around, and watched whales and a sunset over the ocean.

Sorry that I don't have a picture. After fifty years of camping, I find myself taking fewer pictures, prefering just to enjoy each view in the moment.
