Las Vegas if you don't gamble?

If you don't mind driving go to Oatman. Its on route 66. Many vidoes on you tube. Pretty neat place to visit.

Anyway, I would definitely stay there again. This is definitely the cheapest way to do Vegas. Also, the slots at the two nearby casinos there at Sam's Town were very loose compared to the strip. I'm not usually a winner, but I took away enough to pay for our two night's stay and dinner for two nights.

Actually Vegas can be a very nice affordable trip if you don't gamble. Beside the things already mentioned I enjoyed Red Rock Canyon which is a 20 min drive from Vegas. We also went to Death Valley in November which was interesting. Hiked Marble Canyon which was carved out by rushing water. There were also free shows in the hotel we stayed at as well as a pirate show at another hotel down the strip.

Well, we went to see the "world famous" Pawn Stars shop. What a letdown. Same with Rick's Restorations. They have the super-cool High Roller ferris wheel. DW hates heights so that'll never work. You can rent a Ferrari at a local race track and test your Andretti skills. DW has vertigo and that's also a no-go. And on it goes... :(

There's lots of things to see and do that don't involve gambling, shows or eating. Some of them can be seen or done anywhere. Just do some googling for attractions that pique your interest.

Our son is currently living in Amsterdam. Last summer he and a friend from the Netherlands went to Vegas and rented a blinged-out Ford Mustang and drove out to the Grand Canyon. They couldn't stop talking about the car!

Walking up and down the strip is interesting (and tiring). I can't believe all the young ladies that want me... :B

I'm not a gambler and not much of a drinker either. Went to Vegas for "work" 4 years ago with friends and a co-worker and had a BLAST!

The casinos are GORGEOUS. Just walking around looking at the architecture was incredible. The Venetian has indoor canals and an "open air" market... inside. The Bellagio was amazing with incredible water features outside and stunning stone work inside.

Tons of shows, great food, lots of gorgeous views. Close to the Hoover Dam, which is great for a day trip too.

I loved it, can't wait to go back!

We have been there 3 times and never gambled. We went out about 50 miles and there was some great hiking. Did some shows but most are very expensive for what you get. IMHO. We walked and gawked. And we did the casino lobbies and some of the gambling halls and looked a bit.

I`m not a gambler either. I like walking the hotels and seeing how amazing they are. You`ve got Hoover dam which is a good visit. And then there is......um.......the........well.......I guess that's it!

If someone can't walk all that well, rent a scooter. You will want to walk a whole lot. It is one of the reasons we had to stop the trips. It doesn't matter what you plan, you will run out of time anyway....

Oh, and don't be afraid to hang on the rail at Belagio to watch the choreographed fountain. Goes on regularly and always a good show.

I forgot to mention that I used to work in statistical processing. There is NO WAY I can gamble. As soon as I get close, the numbers run and I back away.
