Las Vegas parking

Always stayed at Circus in the past, but this time staying outside of Vegas, maybe Oasis or Hitchin Post, so where do you park a 3/4 ton pick up in Las Vegas for the day?
  • If you are looking to park and hit the strip, I'd recommend the Tropicana. They have plenty of open air parking on the North end right off of Tropicana. When we lived there I'd park our truck there without any problems. It was especially handy if I was going to trade shows - I'd just park there and catch a shuttle bus from whatever "show hotel" was closest (usually NY NY or MGM Grand).

If coming from the south you can get in there the back way by going up Las Vegas Blvd. and turning east on either Mandalay Bay or Reno.

Best parking closest to the hotel in the NE corner parking area. They have bicycle security patrols, and my truck was never bothered.

We park at Ballys in the back. Enter off of Flamingo.
x2. Huge area behind Planet Hollywood.

For Fremont street use lot @ Stewart and Main.
  • if you are just needing to park your 3/4 ton truck for the day without an rv, any casino on the strip will be fine. some of the parking garages downtown near Binions are tight with very low overhead clearance.

Can confirm this was correct for us as well, feels you'll hit the tops but we didn't on the south part of the strip Casinos up to and including Bellagio. We've always got ours under in the parkades when we had a F350 down there.

We've also in recent years, being just hubby and I now, dry camped for a couple of nights at the Tropicana or back of Paris/Ballys, just to get our quick fix when heading back North from being further south.

If Vegas has been one of our destinations in years gone by, we've typically stayed for up to 6 days at Oasis albeit a bit pricey we personally felt, it was convenient and the kids when younger used the facilities more. Oasis did used to honour PPA for two or three nights mid week and sometimes longer out of peak season as a heads up.
  • On the strip in a garage (shade), I was able to get into the garage at Monte Carlo. This is nice as it has a free monorail to Bellagio.
