There won't be any more Canadians in Florida than normal. - buckyExplorer IIThere won't be any more Canadians in Florida than normal. With the exception of the outlier winter of 2021 it's business as usual. Spots are always hard to find in FL this late. Glad the OP found one.

Camp Venice doesn’t look like it had 70’ long spots.
We go there with our 43' coach towing a 20ft long pickup
Yep, like the OP said, only 63' long.

Thank you all again for your help! We were trying to stay in Sarasota for new years, since we have friends there. We ended up getting a spot in Ocala at Ocala North RV park for $67.50.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Glad you found a spot.... You still might want to check on Camp Venice , it's a bit south of Sarasota, but a very easy drive into town. - C20ExplorerThank you all again for your help! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas! - prichardsonExplorerUnless there is a specific reason to make a stop in Sarasota you could overnight further north where your chances for a spot should improve.
- WalabyExplorer IIAt this time of year, with short notice, it will take some luck. Also, everything will be pricey.
Sun N Fun would have been one of my recommendations, but since that's a no go, here's a couple others.
Frog Creek RV Resort. Palmetto (North of Sarasota). We were there the week before Thanksgiving. Decent park. Mosquitoes were bad though.
The Tides - just down the road from Frog Creek. Right around $100 a night based on a friends reservations for a week. Nice resort, large spots all with brick pavers.
I assume for one night, probably not worth it, but I doubt you will find anything for less than $85-$100 a night.
Mike - C20ExplorerThank you Larry. I’ll look around. It’s just for one night on the way to fort Myers so not wanting to wonder to far off the interstate.
