What are you looking for in an RV lot? Realize that they come in a community and there will be monthly maintenance fees. Depending upon the amenities offered those can be high. Plus you might find that you like traveling and not staying in one spot for a season or two. And you could discover that you simply do not care for where you bought and are stuck - at least for a while.
If you are nature lovers and enjoy state parks, check out the camping passes for each state you want to spend some time in. Not all states will have them. In New Mexico, the camping pass for non-resident is $225 and is good for one year. When you camp in a state park you will pay (nightly) $0 for no hook-ups, $4 for an electric hook-up, and another $4 for a sewer hook-up. Water is free. Most all have dumps and many have 50 amp service.
