Thinking about lobstah! We stayed at Bar Harbor Oceanfront KOA once and it was fun and I would stay there again. But I would like to explore the coast a little more. Are there any waterfront cg's with fhu between the New Hampshire Line and Bar Harbor?

Thanks

One of our favorites is Lobster Buoy Campsites in Thomaston, ME. It only has electric and water hookups, but does have a dump station. The best feature is the short walk to Waterman's Beach Lobster House for the very bestest lobstah rolls we've ever had!

We quite enjoy Hadley's point campground in Bar harbour, usually our last camp of the season.
Just got back today from a week at Bayleys Camp resort in Portland, it's a great spot with kids.

KOA Woodside in Bar Harbor. Cheaper than the oceanside, plus it's got full hookups throughout, wifi, and grass (if you're out back in the grassy area).

Saltwater Farm in Thomaston. Close to everything in Camden and Rockland, small and quiet, and mostly adults. Don't forget Owls Head while you're there.

Chewonki in Wiscasset. All grassy areas overlooking the salt marshes. Away from the hubbub (such as it is) on Route 1.

In Scarborough there's an adult only that looks good. Haven't stayed there as it's too close to home, but have driven through. Seems though the name includes Loon -- Laughing Loon or something like that.

Red Apple in Kennebunk is good.

Shore Hills was nice - we were there a number of years ago. A few sites are alongside a tidal inlet - when the tide was out it was a grassy meadow (probably more like a marsh) and when it was in, it was all water. Pretty cool. Not sure the FHU sites are in that area of the CG though.

Never been there but Libby's is as close as you can get. They pack you in not sure if you have room for the awning. We love to stop bt the Bush house, have seen them out and about in the boat etc. how lucky to be there when the party was going on.

We left our 5er at home, but just returned from a 3 week tour of the New England coast. We used B&B's mostly. We saw many lighthouses and ate a lot of seafood. We were at George Bush's home on his 90th birthday. What a great treat that was!!!

We are heading up there in a couple of weeks. We stay at Narrows Too in Trenton, not far from the KOA that you stayed at. We also like Shore Hills in Boothbay. Both are full hookup and we have no issues with our 43 ft MH and toad

Salisbury beach state reservation is on the ma/nh state line, no full hookups but there is a honey wagon service. Campground boarders 2 beaches. Campground is about 40 min drive to southern me attractions.

And the lobster is just as good at SB is as in arcadi or anywere else in Maine

Our favorite is Libby's in York. You can catch the trolley and ride up the coast to neighboring towns. We also like Camden Hills and have stayed at Megunticuck. The view is priceless from the viewing deck. Further up we enjoy SeaView in Eastport. Eastern most point of the USA. Bring your passport and visit Campobello Island. There are a few more like in Bellfast but we like full hook sites so have not stayed at these campgrounds but I have read many good reviews.
See you on the road!

This is a small, little known, campground in Freeport. Close to LL Bean and a great little dining place called "Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company" in South Freeport.

Not waterfront. But, we just left Red Apple in Kennebunkport and were VERY happy. This is a first class CG. You can order lobsters by 10 and they bring them to your site at 5:30 cooked and with all the tools and bibs. Excellent price.

I'm curious too on your orig question.
