My husband and I received our DOD cards a little over a year ago when I realized he qualified since he is a 100% DAV service connected. We have taken our 13 year old granddaughter on one trip staying at milatary Campgrounds. Planning on taking our older18 year old granddaughter next summer. Does entrance criteria change since she is an adult? Thank you in advance.

Should be no problem . We have stayed at numerous military Camp grounds over the years and sponsored our traveling companions and their motor home in the same park. Weโ€™ve always ask ahead of time and unless there were no open spots we have never had a problem. Iโ€™m pretty sure your granddaughter will not have a problem.

I've never run into a situation where there were age requirements/limits on guests (just on the number of guests). Be aware, though, that use privileges vary from installation to installation based on the facility commander's discretion. Some places allow working DOD/DV while others allow only active and retired. Check before you go... a good place to do that is:

militarycampgrounds.us

This is a terrific source of information on military campgrounds and resorts.

she must have some sort of ID, (driver's license) and be accompanied by you.

When If in the Northwest, NAS Whidbey is a must do.. Right on the bluff over looking the beach, brand new camp sites. Full hook ups, with all amenities.
