Moccasin Creek SP, GA fishing

DW & I are planning a trip with Moccasin Creek SP, GA as a day or two layover. I have scoured the web for info on the trout fishing regs for that park & came up empty. Both over 65 and like to trout fish. Should we bring our rods & reels for a day or two fishing experience? What's the cost? Do we need both a GA non-resident license and a trout license or what? I can't seem to find the answer. And are these licenses limited to that area or can they be used else where until the expiration date?

Thanks much
Our 2351D Phoenix Cruiser, Jack, has turned us from campers into RVers and loving it!

The park ranger at Moccasin Creek can sell you a short term GA fishing license and give you a copy of the regs. Some very large fish there :c

Make sure you have reservations. I was just up that way the other day and the sign was out that the CG is full. There is fishing for seniors, kids and disabled folks in the creek between the hatchery and the CG. The ranger at the CG can provide you with details and whatever you need. I have actually seen some fairly nice trout taken there. Small Mepps Spinner works best
