Took a 17 day trip to Glacier this August from KY. Went out I 94 and came back I 90. Spent 7 nights in Montana with 3 nights in Many Glacier CG on the east side of the park.Great location if you like to hike. Reservations need to be made 6 months in advance. Sites in the park go as soon as they are available. It took me 4 days to get a site. Highly recommend the Red Bus tour from one side to the other. The last day we parked the MH at the east visitor center and road the the free shuttle thru the park. Not much in the way of to stay, eat or do on the east side. A lot more options on the west side. Things to see on I94 are Theodore Roosevelt NP, Enchanted Highway in ND, and Jamestown ND. On I 90 are the Black Hills , Crazy Horse Monument, Mt Rushmore, the Badlands and Wall Drugs. Yellowstone is only a few hours south of I90. If going from Browning to ST Marys on the east side, MT 464 is a much better road than US 89

Depends on what your interests are: history? scenery? oddball exhibits? A little more information and that can narrow things down for suggestions of things to see on the way. In 2 weeks time, you won't have a lot of time to dawdle; you can't really "see" Glacier in a day or two, especially if you want to hike. And it's a long way from Indiana.

I think using primarily I-90 will be your fastest route there; you'll need to use spur roads (US or state routes are generally good out here) from I-90 to get north to Glacier. I suggest spending a minimum of 3 nights on each side of the park (3 nights West Glacier, 3 nights East.) If that's not possible, considering how far you are going, then you may want to concentrate on just one side. East will be the easiest to get to from Indiana.

DO reserve (ahead of time) an all-day Red Bus tour. That way you will see both sides of the park - which are very different from each other - and won't have to worry about the drive over Going-to-the-Sun Road. BTW, that road may not open until July, due to snow. Just FYI.
