Is it possible to park an RV at Mount Rushmore while we go see it? We'll be towing our 35'ish (nose to tail) camper behind our Suburban, so we are quite long.

Not to mix things up but the "lighting ceremony" in the evening at Mount Rushmore is really something to see/experience. Of course, daylight is good too. Enjoy!

You do have to go up a incline to get to Mt Rushmore, it is not bad but if you do not need your trailer I would leave it at the campgrounds.

Hopefully we'll be there before noon on Friday, and with any luck there will be spots available. Thanks everyone!

When we were there last Fall, the big rig parking was completely full. If you encounter that situation, you would have to head on down the road.

No problem was there last summer and big rig parking was on the side opposite the toll takers.
