- MoteExplorerWe were there last year in the truck camper. We say quite a few other RV's parked up there. They have a lot of parking for campers. We came in from the East and the road was pretty steep. I don't know if you come from the West if it's an easier drive or not.
- jamesuExplorerWe will be in Black Hills in September so I did research re: Mt. Rushmore. Admission is free for everyone, BUT parking is $11, paid to the park concessionaire that runs the parking lot. I was a Park Ranger there in 1977 and I recall that there was a strong concessionaire presence even then, although parking was free at that time. Apparently the concession business has powerful lobbyists in D.C. as well.
- FULLTIMEWANABEExplorerIf you don't mind walking back a wee bit 1/4mile, you can "free park" = google earth and you'll see some easy pull ins. SD 244. or $11 to park.

- stickdogExplorerThe parking at Rushmore is run by the friends group all proceeds remain at the park.
- LaurenExplorerYou pay for parking there....was not cheap as I recall. I think it is an outside firm that runs it. What I do know is that some years back our son sold them all the gating and system technology.
- GailSExplorerYes, there is RV parking at Rushmore. We had no problem when we were there. It was in September when vacationers with children were not there.
- gboppExplorerCheck Google Maps.
There are a couple RV's parked along the outer perimeter of the parking area. - azdryheatExplorerYes.
