Myrtle Beach Travel Park?

I am looking for first hand experiences with the Myrtle Beach Travel Park. I have been to the website and the usual sites for checking something like this out. I would like some inside information from those of you that have stayed there. I am attempting to get a โ€œfeelโ€ for the campground. Are quiet hours enforced? Are the campsites arranged well? What part of the campground offers the better campsites?

The location appears to be ideal as far as getting to and from points of interest and activities in the beach area.

We have camped in Myrtle Beach before, but never at this campground.

If someone has some pictures, that would be great also. I am always interested in pictures other than what is listed on the website.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

It's the only place in MB that we camp. In addition to the above comments they have a security guard at the gate and motorcycles must park outside the gate.

The sites aren't huge but you get a small shelter over your picnic table at each site if you're in the area between the pools and the beach.

They get busy in the summer but we still enjoy it. Try the Breakfast by the Sea restaurant in the CG for all you can eat fish on Friday nights.
Time to camp.

The best in MB as far as we are concerned. Its quiet and the fact that transient sites can't have golf carts makes it ladyed back. You can't go wrong!

It's our favorite MB campground by far, mostly because we vastly prefer the location over the campgrounds to the south, and the minimal golf cart traffic. We go there at least once, usually twice, a year.

I don't know whether quiet hours are "enforced" or not, but we've never had an issue with noise at night.

Sites are pretty typical of the other campgrounds at MB, IMO. As to what's better--it comes down to preference. We like to be relatively close to the ocean, but not front row. The sites around the lake are nice. The wooded sites seem roomier than those close to the beach, and most of them are convenient to the pool. But it's a pretty good walk to the ocean.
