As others stated call ahead. It's tight at the rangers station but can be done.
Area B has better newer spots. Coming in off of Hwy 61 is the best route.

When we stopped there in April just before closing the rangers were very helpful in pointing out appropriate sized sites for us. They gave us a choice and just had us settle up the next day. As mentioned, I would call ahead. It is a long ways back there.

With my 40'DP and pulling a toad I had to unhook at the check in station parking lot so I could turn around to go back to the campground. There were only a couple of cars in the parking lot, if it was crowded it would have been a real problem. The solution would be to call ahead and get an assigned spot, park the RV, than go up to the office, that's what I will do next time.
The loop next to the lake was nice, the other loop seemed pretty tight.

In your situation I would call the campground office for that information.
