Need a CG in BC's Okanogan Valley

Well I have pulled a bit of an oops.

Have been planning a 2 week holiday in the RV since early this spring and put off reserving a place in BC's Okanogan Valley.

I used to live in Penticton years ago and now want to go back to the area as a visitor in the TT. I waited too long to book a place and now it seems that most things are booked up.

I have called around to a few places and also checked the government campsites and now I can't find anything decent.

I'm looking for a place in the south Okanogan, anywhere from Penticton to Vernon, preferably somewhere close to Okanogan Lake or another lake and closer to Penticton, Summerland, Peachland, even Kelowna.

So my question is:
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Do you know of a nice CG I could call and reserve that wouldn't be all booked up?

We are going to be all over Vancouver Island and then to the Okanogan after that.
We need a place for August 11, 12, and 13th.

I have been on the net searching and looking at places but I don't know them and it has become one big muddle mess for me....

If anyone has any thoughts I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Try West Eagle Campground in Westbank. We were there last August for five days and don't think they were fully booked. It's not too fancy but makes a good base for exploring the Kelowna area.

You might try this one in Osoyoos, BC. Stayed there years ago and it was OK. I believe it is part of an Indian reservation, but not sure.

We're from Ottawa so we have little experience in that area but we did travel that way in 2010 - Here's our trip log entry for Hiawatha RV Park in Kelowna (links and photos included).
