Hello everyone. I'm kinda new here. Bought my first RV back in October of 2014. It is a 2002 Fleetwood Prowler in very good condition. Browsed the forums a lot to get info. So far, we have been to Myrtle Beach(Dec 2014) and Savannah, Jekyll Island area(April 2015). We are really enjoying the RV experience. We are planning on going up to Niagara Falls in July/Aug. It looks like the Canadian side is the best for viewing. What Parks do you recommend? IT looks like the Jellystone, Bisselss and Campark are well recommended by Good Sam's. Or if you have any good experience at another on the Canada side, we're all ears. thanks for any info you can give us.Bruce and Connie(Lost Traveller)

Since you have a toad vehicle this could be ideal for you. As I remember it is probably 35 to 40 miles over to the Canadian side of the Falls.The campground is on Lake Ontario. We crossed over from Port Huron, MI to Sarnia, Ontario.Fifty Point RV Park

We stayed at the Jellystone in Canada. it was OK. nothing special, just could`ve used some updating. I`ve also read good things on Sherkston Shores. it is outside of Niagara Falls, about a 1/2 hour drive.

Thanks for all the updates. Last year the number one answer seemed to be Branches of Niagara, so we booked there for this August. But seeing a lot more variety in preferred locations this year.

Today it's approximately 1.2 Canadian to every US dollar less bank fees. It changes daily as others have said. Prices on campground websites will be shown in Canadian dollars.

I have my passport. My wife is applying for hers this week. I read that it takes 4-6 weeks, which would give us enough time. Thanks for the reminder. I could have not thought about it.

our favourite camp ground right in the Niagara area is the KOA Lundy's Lane. It's very convenient to the falls and it is a very clean campground and last I knew it was a KOA corporate owned campground.
The approximate conversion rate at this time would mean that $1 US would be equal to about $1.15 Canadian after the exchange rate and banking charges. It is up and down like a yo-yo the last few months.

For the past while the Canadian Dollar has been trading at around 80 cents US. It fluctuates a bit. So a $100 camping stay advertised in CAD on the Canadian side will cost you about $80 USD. Since I know someone will jump all over on me, yes this does fluctuate, banks tack on their exchange fees etc. but this should be a good rough budget number.

BTW the KOA Niagara Falls Ontario is a good choice as well. They have more features than most KOA's and they have a shuttle down to the strip.

This might be a dumb question, but do you have passports to get into Canada and back into US? If you decide to stay on the US side, we liked Branches of Niagara Campground in Grand Island NY. Short drive to the falls.
