North of Four Corners In Winter?

I'm considering my first trip to Arizona this winter and am wondering what it would be like to see the areas north of the Four Corners at that time of the year. I've heard that the north part of the Grand Canyon is closed, but are the parks and campgrounds open around areas like Arches National Park, Canyonlands, or Mesa Verde etc.? I'd hate to drive all the way out there and miss those places. I intend to be out west from early December until early March. Many thanks for your help.

It will be winter weather, but most of the parks and monuments will not be closed. Flagstaff area, Grand Canyon, can get a lot of snow by March. Access to South Rim is kept open, but not necessarily the whole South Rim Drive.

With December-March travel times, and where you have to go to get to the lower, drier, warmer parts of southern Arizona, I assume your RV is fully winter capable, which is all that is needed to use it in northern Arizona and Utah during winter.

Yep, sounds cold all right. But it looks like a good excuse to plan for a second trip:W. Thanks everyone.

October or April would be much better if you can adjust your schedule.

Grab your snow shoes and a lot of propane! Make sure your RV is a good one for winter.

I think you would do better in March than late November - early December. However this site show more detail.
