Hi, I'll be volunteering at the boat show in Oakland in April. the closest campground, I think, is the Anthony Chabot regional park. Does anyone have any knowledge of this park? or another nearby...

Our daughter lives in Oakland and we have always had a problem with were to stay. Made our stay short, very short or left the MH home and stayed at a hotel. Last trip we tried the Alameda Fair Ground camp ground in Pleasanton. It was about a 25 minute drive, but there isn't much else out there unfortunately. I have made reservations at Anthony Chabot a few times and cancelled. Mountain roads and the closing of the gate to get in at 10pm made us reconsider. We didn't have a length issue.
