Oklahoma City park owner called the police on me

Just had a sickening experience I feel compelled to share. It happened at Council Road RV Park in Oklahoma City. I just checked in and paid for a 4 night stay. The owner then immediately kicked me out of the park when he saw me using a multimeter to test the electrical panel at my site! (who doesnโ€™t check park power before plugging in?)He then called the police (gave me no chance to explain myself) and threatened to have me arrested !
I basically drove out under police escort- it was terrible and humiliating to be treated like a criminal.
Owner CLAIMS my debit card was refunded, but I still havenโ€™t seen the money.
Iโ€™m over the money, and name calling, and at the point of warning others. Iโ€™ve posted brutal reviews on google and yelp. RV Park Reviews wonโ€™t post my review because I didnโ€™t โ€œstay overnight โ€œ (how useless is that?). Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Who else can I tell my story to? Local Better Business Bureau? I fully expect to be attacked for posting this; if the owners side of the story is that important then CALL HIM or SEND HIM AN EMAIL. I would love to hear a reasonable version of this harassment!

RVPR guidelines requires you to write 2 or 3 sentences that describe the RVpark/campground, this ensures there is some useful information to help fellow Rvers/campers.

Extreme reviews or reviews without useful information de-value the site and it's members reviews, IMO

I still want the voltage reading and a picture or it did not happen.

Do you give anything more than a one star? Every review you have ever posted is a onestar because you expect free services done so that being said you checked voltage went complaining to get your money back yet want to stay so got tossed good for that owner to see through you

If the owner called the police and told them he needed someone escorted off the property they would come and do it. At least in Florida. And you added to the rest of the story. "asked them to leave AND THEY WON'T." Repeat - "AND THEY WON'T." That's not what the OP says happened. According to the OP's version he just tested a power pedestal and the owner called the police. No mention at all about "and won't leave."
Again, no PD, and particularly one as busy as Oklahoma City PD, are not going to come to a private campground and escort someone off the property just because they tested a power pedestal.
There's a whole lot more going on than what the OP alleges. Someone not familiar with the law and legal proceedings might swallow the OP's story but not anyone who has any knowledge of the applicability of laws.

The OP could provide a copy of the police report.

So what is this then, some kind of scam? Astro-turfing from a competing campground, or just nonsense?

Thanks for the link. Apparently, the guy isn't exactly over the incident after all, since the IRV2 tread is three weeks old. At least his story didn't change at all, but that may be due to the fact he cut and pasted his IRV2 post to this forum, rather than him having a vivid recollection of all the facts.. Doesn't look like his sour grapes are ever going to turn into wine (or raisins).

Domicile rules are very different. Evicting someone from their residence requires due process. Rental, lease, no-lease, owned or otherwise.
Same in Montana, and I would assume in most other jurisdictions. However, should the park call every couple of days with issues, I would bet they would get a stern lecture at the very least. I am pretty sure if what described actually happened, we are only hearing about the straw that broke the camels back, not the other straws that were loaded prior to the breaking point.

Who really believes the police would have been called, the police responded, and then they escorted the OP off, simply for checking the voltage on a pedestal? Seriously?
None of that makes sense. First, no police is going to come for getting a call that someone checked the voltage on a pedestal. Not even in the smallest, least busy of Podunk towns. Oklahoma City Police are hardly a Podunkville. They're not going to send an officer to a private campground to referee someone for only checking voltage.
This story has as much credibility as a Dear Penthouse letter.

Don't put too much credence in the forum's search results. The search has been broken for years.

I see one post in the last 12 months, but his profile shows a higher post count.
