We are doing a bunch of sites in the national park, I really prefer the off the grid sites, can anyone recommend something similar to this campground within a half hour range?

Again assuming you're talking about the EAST side of the Peninsula, and understanding that we're not talking about the National Park but the National Forest:

There are two FS campgrounds on the Hamma Hamma river, which is about twenty miles south of Seal Rock. Both Lena Creek and Hamma Hamma state "21 foot limits", but I've seen bigger rigs in there.

There are also a few really nice free dispersed camping spots just up the road from those two campgrounds. Several of those spots are big enough for a rig your size. Finding things open is a gamble, of course. I always strategize to arrive midweek and almost always get "one of the good ones".

Had lunch in that CG last summer while checking out sites for our 30' MH. As I remember your 27'rig will NOT fit without sticking out into the road way. For that side of the Hood Canal I would use the Dosewallips State Park

Plan to make at least two stops to check out the whole park. It's huge. There are some great state parks near Port Townsend to use as a base for the Hurricane Ridge area or Salt Creek Rec. just west of Port Angeles. Plan on another stop around Forks for the rain forest.

Everything previously mentioned plus a trip to La Push. If you have anyone who is into Twilight vampires then a stop in Forks. We also like the drive along the Hood canal.

We liked Hard Rain RV Park near Hoh Valley -- very quiet, remote. Pretty basic campground, but there are hookups.

Cape Flattery is neat. Standing high on the cliff in the NW corner of the continental US is kinda cool.

Definitely Hoh rain forest , Cape Flattery, Hurricane Ridge. Lake Crescent area. Also Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend is a great place to spend a few nights. Try for a beach site. Very scenic area and Port Townsend is a neat town.
