One month in NH 2014

We are looking to spend August 2014 in New Hampshire or Maine. We plan to use the campground as our base so it will be an extended stay site-very likely from Aug 1 through Labor Day.

Here's what I would like: Lake/pool. over 50 (age) campground, quiet, full hookups, tv--either cable or over the air; doesn't really matter just want tv reception.

I have zeroed in on the Bluffs at Danforth Bay but there may be others that I have overlooked. We would like to stay in the Lakes Region but that is not cast in stone.

We have stayed at the Wild Duck in Scarborough ME. Although it is nice, I would like a pool.

Judi

If anyone could suggest any others it would be helpful.

3X for Danforth Bay, or their over age 50 section, The Bluffs. If you are in the Bluffs, you have use of all the facilities-2 heated pools, kayaks and canoes, any activities at the club house while you're here, exercise room and game room, etc. It's a pretty good base to see quite a bit of Maine and NH and only a couple of hours from Boston.

We are seasonal at Danforth Bay, The Bluffs is everything you are looking for (and plenty of CATV). Plus, while staying at The Bluffs, you get to use all the facilities at Danforth Bay. You will probably want to rent a golf cart because both resorts cover a lot of acreage.

Danforth Bay will be busy in August, but if you desire a lakefront site or a super site with a concrete pad and patio furniture, Danforth Bay is your only option.

The office staff can help you with your decision, either way, I would call ASAP as sites book up fast. Typically, a good portion of the sites are booked a year in advance.

I would say the Bluffs at Danforth Bay. However we like the Danforth Bay RV Resort better. There is more privacy between sites and it has much more of a rural feel. Be sure to eat at the Mountain Lake Restaurant while you are there.
