Oregon : Redmond/Central Oregon KOA

Has anyone stayed here .. there are no reviews on rvparkreviews.com that I can find .. they are located in Culver, Oregon.

We want a midway point between Pasco, WA and Crater Lake - probably stay at Diamond Lakes RV Park ... trip is planned for the middle of September this year.

Have stayed in Bend before .. and may consider that one again. DH is just getting to that age where 250 miles or less per day results in us being less tired that trying to do 350 miles per day any more. And since I cannot drive a vehicle .. it is left up to him to do all the driving.

Vehicles : Suburban - 30 ft. travel trailer
  • Maybe Tumalo State Park, just outside Bend would work for you. Not a "parking lot" like the fairgrounds.

    Save travels,
    Steve
  • We have stayed in the Madras KOA. It is OK for an overnight or two. Wouldn't recommend much more the that.
  • Just noticed on RVPARKREVIEWS that there is a park "Green Acres RV Park" there in Redmond also. the review is from 2009 ... anyone stayed there in the last couple of years ?
  • Not too far from Redmond is a place that everyone should see. John Day Fossil Beds NP. There are 3 units of the park, the most scenic being the Painted Hills Unit.

We stayed at a very small but wonderful RV park in Dayville - The Fish House Inn and RV Park

Looks to be about a 100 mile trip from Redmond to Dayville but compltely worth it. Just make sure to get reservations if you want to stay there.
  • Just check to make sure they don't have some special event at the fairgrounds that might fill them up. Usually during the week things are pretty slow.
  • Thank you for suggestion for the Expo RV Park in Redmond ..
  • There are lots of reviews of this park on RVParkReviews except that the park had been listed under Madras OR not Culver. I fixed the listing so you can now find the reviews here:

    Redmond/Central OR KOA

Personally, we thought the Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in Redmond was a great place to stay in that part of OR.
