Paiute trail camping

Just where is the Paiute trail?

Not sure about where to boondock 'cause we haven't ever seen anybody doing it. Plenty of RV parks though. Jim and Terri's South Forty caters to off roaders in Marysvale on the 89. Great access to over 2200 miles of Paiute trails. RV spaces are huge, all pull-throughs, and plenty of room for my 40 foot toy hauler, dually, and RZR.

Boondocking does to require a lot of planning. Find some roads you want to explore and go out and find your spot. Finding a lot of room and no neighbors is as easy as pie.

On the way to Canyonlands, we've seen a lot of boondockers, but go to Campendium and enter in Moab - this link will go straight there - and you will see numerous boondocking areas listed at $0 cost with other various RV campgrounds. If you've never been on Campendium, sign up, because it's free and super full of information. It's my go to area to planning a trip. They also have 360 videos of campgrounds and dispersed (boondocking) areas on YouTube. Sign up for that too.

For some reason I was thinking this was near Moab, but looks like it's near Sevier. Same thing with Campendium, plug in that town and see what comes up there.

There is plenty of campsites on the dirt roads that are up in the mountains out side Marysvale. I've seen a lot of hunters that pull there rigs up to 10,000'. The trail is a 232 mile loop and you can drop down into towns to gas up. Myself I would go up Beaver Creek RD out of Marysvale it tee's into the Paiute Trail, turn right the first right is the Deer Creek trail drops down to Hoover's and Hwy 89. Go on to the next right and it drops into a large flat area has a firepit and about a 1/2 acre in size. Unload your atv and do some recon. Go on line and order the National Geographic Paiute atv trail map #708 you can spent 5 days there. I think this spot is about 9,000'

We've been riding trails in Utah for the last 5 years, we are in Kanab now after spending 3 weeks in Bryce Canyon, Marysvale and Sterling dry camping at all locations.
