Point Sebago, Maine

Hello,

Anyone ever hear of or go to Point Sebago Resorts in Maine? If so, what do you think of the place. Do you know of any other family orientated places in that area that have activities for kids?

Thanks!
  • On the south side of the lake is Sebago Lake Family Campground. It's a little more rustic than the "resort" and a few more seasonal rigs, but it has a nice beach on the lake. It's a little cheaper than the resort.
  • That area is very pretty but, unless you drive up to the White Mountains, sticking to the campgrounds is about it.
  • My partner goes there for a week each year. He loves the place because it's all inclusive. He doesn't even unhook his truck, he rent a golf cart and cruses between the playgrounds, the beaches, the game rm., the store and his site. He say's maybe he'll try his hand a at grown-up golf this year since he's getting real good at mini-golf.

It's not my kind of camping, but it works for his family. It rated as one of the top CG in Maine. If you prefer the beaches check out it's sister Bayley's Camping Resort just down the road in Scarborough, ME. They have two other CG, Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort, Freedom, NH and Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort, Foxborough, MA.

You can't go wrong staying at any of them. Like they say you get what you pay for and they make sure of that.
