Pokagan State Park Dec. 29

I will be traveling from Ontario down through Mich,& Indiana,Dec.29. Plan to stop and camp at Pokagan State park. How is the snow levels in that area. Will the Park be open to pull a Fifth whl. in for the night?
  • Thank You guys, I appreciate the replies. It will help me plan my stops.
  • I live about 50 miles south of Pokémon. Today we will be in the 50's and the snow is melting fast-almost gone at my house. Weather through the end of the week looks good. Next chance of snow is 1/1.
  • That's about 35 miles north of me. Most of the snow we have is melting currently. A few days back we had anywhere from 4 to 9 inches in the area, but like I said most of it is disappearing rapidly. We have take our 5th wheel there to camp so I do not forsee troubles for you. You can look and make reservations if you wish at camp.in.gov. Safe travels.
  • Sorry I can't see the snow there (I'm in Buffalo, NY), but I have many warm memories of the park. I went to college at what was called Tri-State in the late 60's. Th park has a wonderful toboggan slide, check it out if you get to stay there. I never got to ride it as it was down for repair and/or budget cuts all the time I was in the area. The restaurantin the Potawatomi Lodge is quaint and has good food. Over looks Lake James.

Thanks for stirring up the memories!

    Merry Christmas
