Possible southern Louisana this Feb

Bouncing around the idea of heading down to Tickfaw SP, Fairview SP and there abouts in Feb. Trying to get out of the cold St. Louis weather for a week or two. Been to Fontainebleau SP & Palmetto Island and loved Palmetto. Not big on cajun or spicy food and not city/night clubbing folk at all. History, civil war, sights and nature are more our thing.
OK, my questions are: what can/should we expect weather wise? Any other nice campgrounds in that area that we should see? We're very mobile in our 21 ft B+ with no toad. We are fond of COE parks as a rule as they are generally very nice and very affordable. OH and don't forget good food.
Thanks for any and all suggestions. Guess I gotta get this planned before the DW changes her mind.

Thanks for all the input. Really giving some serious thought to Grand Isle, but it seems so isolated. Anything other than fishing to do around there, like good restaurants, sights, history, etc?
WX you never cease to amaze me. Thank you so much!!!

Bogue Chitto SP

Some other LA parks we have visited in prior years are:

Colfax Park - RRWC

Have a great trip!

As others have said, you can find anything from 80 degrees and sunny to 25 degrees and sleeting in south Louisiana in February, though you do get a bit of a coastal warming effect around Vermilion bay (Palmetto Island State park, etc.), so maybe 33 degrees and sleet if you are within 20-30 miles of the coast.

Ike

p.s. we were at Palmetto Island state park the first weekend of Feb this year, and as I recall it was warm enough to need air conditioning even during the night that weekend.

You are surely on the right trace with Fairview/Riverside State Park. This has become our favorite over Fontainebleau where we have also stayed several times.

As to weather in February, in Louisiana and East Texas it can be anywhere from short sleeve shirt, sunshiney days to ice and snow. The odds are in favor of nice days. Still, there is no guarantee. I think that's all that can be said.
