Thanks for all the input. Really giving some serious thought to Grand Isle, but it seems so isolated. Anything other than fishing to do around there, like good restaurants, sights, history, etc?
WX you never cease to amaze me. Thank you so much!!!
I have to say it's a pretty quiet place - that's why we liked it so much. Good for bicycling and walking the beach. One small grocery store about a mile from the park. There are a few little restaurants in town - some were closed for the winter.

It’s been awhile since I was there but there was also a nearby marina with laundry.

Thanks for all the great replies and after reading other posts, especially about Texas parks closed due to hurricane Harvey, did this storm have much effect on Grand Isle SP and/or other LA SP's?

Two years ago we spent a fair amount of time in southern Louisiana. Here are some posts we made regarding the parks we visited:
Grand Isle SP
St Bernard SP
Foutainbleu SP
Tickfaw SP
Farr Park
Bogue Chitto SP
Some other LA parks we have visited in prior years are:
Colfax Park - RRWC
Indian Creek Recreation Area
Lake Bruin SP
South Toledo Bend SP
Abbeville City RV Park
Have a great trip!
