Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

Picture Posting Help

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

We stayed at Sandy Heights in Pasco, WA. I tried to post some images but I don't have a site to host the images (Can't understand why I can't post from my computer's storage). Before you decided to stay in this park you should consider the following.

1. NO REFUNDS! Did I say NO REFUNDS! We paid for three days when we registered and decided to leave after two days. They wouldn't refund the third day's fee because they claimed it was their "rule". They had a sign that under the glass on the counter but it wasn't very visible as I didn't see it when we checked in and they made no mention of the policy. When you look around the park, you can see where they don't adhere to their other "rules".

2. The park is very close to the freeway so you get A LOT of freeway noise.

3. Some of the sites are not FLAT so it's difficult to level your unit.

4. Some of their advertised amenities have fallen into disrepair.

5. WI-FI is available at a COST!

We will NEVER go back.

Here is the view from our doorway at Site 24, Pearl Lake State Park in Colorado:

Sad for us, but our current 5th wheel at 33 feet is just too big to go back to this spot. This site only works for RVs up to about 20 feet - maybe a little over.

Elk Neck State Park, North East, MD. We were at site # 23 in the NorthEast (pet) loop, pull-thru, full hookups. I think we had the best site in the campground. While I was taking pictures, everyone else was playing "4-square". It ended up being our favorite thing to do during our stay! Even DH and I played! Turkey Point Lighthouse is just a mile and a short hike away. *Just a note: There is swimming but it's in the Elk River which has lots of rocks and not like swimming at an ocean beach. We were somewhat disappointed, but the rest of the park is great.

Site 58 @ the KOA in Wilmington, NC. One of the better KOAs we've been to on the East Coast.

View of 50 amp sites - trees in this back row not as mature.

View down the road behind us. All 50 amp here - site closest in pic is #55 and so on. Better shade in this row as you can see

Here is one from one of my last trips. This is near Dinkey Creek. It is about 9 miles from Shaver Lake in California. It was a great spot just off the side of the road.

I keep getting this message when I want to look at the pictures...what do I need to do?

Thanks

This should help:
1. Go to your "My Forums" at the top right of all forum pages
2. Look for your "My Preferences" in the links bar below it.
Check:
Preview thread when mousing over subject
Show members signatures when viewing topics
Show images that are part of posts ( not recommended for dial-up users)
Show quick reply box at the bottom of topics
While there, check your other preferences and then click on Submit Changes at the bottom of the page.

We quit our KOA jobs and have moved here for the rest of the summer. I think I'll not name this campground: he doesn't advertise because he prefers monthly and seasonal campers to overnighters. It's on the Misissippi (Minneapolis area). These were taken yesterday, only 46 degrees at 5AM so the river was steaming. A great blue heron AND a green heron were in that tree, a beaver swam by, and then a goose family hung for a while as the sun came up.
