Lately there has been a lot of interest in viewing photos of the sites that different campgrounds have to offer. Let's start posting them to this thread and if there seems to be enough interest, perhaps we can make the thread a permanent sticky.

If you have recently posted photos of this sort, please re-post them here. If you have new ones to share, please do!

Don't forget to label the photos: Campground name, site #'s if you know them, area of campground, etc.

**A photo width of 500 works really well.

I am taking the liberty of copying here some recent photos submitted by member 'marites62'.

Fishing Bridge - This is site 60 in the B loop - back-in, full hookups (It can be tough for long trailers and 5th wheels):

More of the same site:

Colter Bay Village - This is site 40, Pull through, full hookups. It is at the end of the loop which was nice.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore, Platte River Campground site 321. Possibly the best public campground we've ever stayed at. Very large sites, well spaced, well maintained, and so quiet. Four loops with loops 1, 2, & 3 electric only, and 4 with no facilities at the site. Bathrooms are modern and clean with pay showers. Loops 1, 3, and half of 4 are reservable. But be aware that are best served to place your reservation six months to the day in advance as these sites go fast... and for very good reason. Wish I had gotten better pictures of the site, but these pics will give you an idea.

Here's the view on one side of the area of our campfire and picnic table. No one in sight!

Getting ready to leave. Note the double-wide pad at this site. Some have these, but not all.

Muskegon State Park, Michigan, site 032 in the original Lake Michigan campground. Very nice pie-shaped site on the end of the loop, and best of all, the ice cream stand was right behind us! Got very crowded over the weekend with many groups and families, but that's fine with us as we didn't have anyone right on top of us. Enjoyed watching the little ones riding their bikes all over the place.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park in Kentucky, site 067.

Older campground, wooded, but with small sites and most not very level. Some of the campground roads were so narrow and with tight turns that signs were posted 'No RV's or large trailers'. On the site we were in, we had to lower the nose so much that we almost needed a stepladder to get into the rig. Beautiful area, but would likely not stay there again.

Hi all
Pull through sites (pitches) are unheard of in the UK. This pic shows our 5er on a site in a place called Honiton in the county of Devon SW England. Cost for 1 night about $20-25

Twin Knobs campground at Cave Run lake near Morehead, Ky.

It's a big campground that has loops A to J... This is our favorite campground because a lot of the sites has A LOT of privacy!.. Cave Run also has another large campground called Zilpo.

The bad thing about Cave Run campgrounds is you can't camp near the water... But on some of the sites you can see the lake.

On this site we was camping on loop A site #33... On this loop, The lake has 2 coves where you can leave your boat.

The park isn't much, but it does have full hook-ups. Sleeping to the sound of the surf just a few yards away is well worth the lack of campground esthetics! Enjoy.

Thanks. Looking forward to it. We've camped right on the beach in Pismo Beach, but the DW really prefers the FHU.

The sound of the waves crashing gently is really relaxing at night. I've fallen asleep by the campfire many times.
